Diesel Shop Manager – Pineville, NC

We’re hiring a Diesel Shop Manager (Shop Foreman) to lead our Pineville, NC fleet shop. This role is mission-critical—keeping equipment safe, downtime low, and our drivers rolling.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach Maintenance Technicians; set clear standards for Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Cost Control.
• Prioritize and assign workload across shifts to meet dispatch demands.
• Keep Preventive Maintenance current and on schedule.
• Ensure maintenance documentation is complete and scanned daily.
• Partner with the Parts Specialist to maintain accurate parts and inventory.
• Review repair orders and billable invoices for accuracy; close work daily.

Requirements

• High-energy, self-starting manager who works as a team player.
• Verifiable mechanical and supervisory experience in a fleet environment.
• Solid maintenance/repair background with diesel tractors.
• Diagnostic experience with Volvo, Detroit, and Cummins engines.
• Trailer maintenance (dry van & open-deck) experience is a plus.
• CDL A.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Diesel Tech School or OEM dealership training a plus.
• HM testing / Registered Inspector Qualification a plus.
